TOKYO 2020オリンピックでは競泳女子平泳ぎ100mで銀メダル、200mでは世界新記録で金メダルに輝いたタチアナ・スクンマーカー、そして新競技に加わったサーフィンで銀メダルを獲得したビアンカ・ブイテンダグというメダリスト2人が誕生。パラリンピックでも新たなメダリストの誕生に乞うご期待!

- タチアナ・スクンマーカー
- 200m平泳ぎ決勝では世界新記録樹立とともに金メダルを獲得。ゴール後、しばらくして新記録達成に気づいた時の驚きと歓喜の表情がとても印象的でした。

- 新競技として加わった女子サーフィン。3回戦で世界制覇7回の絶対女王、オーストラリアのステファニー・ギルモア選手を退けた勢いで決勝まで進み銀メダルに輝きました。
